Privacy Policy
Effective August 9, 2026
Brenda Renewables Ltd. operates this website and an organic waste composting facility near Peachland, BC. This policy explains what personal information we collect through our website and intake channels, why we collect it, and how we handle it.
What we collect
When you use a form on this website, you may provide:
- Your name, company and business email address
- Your region or other service location and type of operation
- Details about your material, approximate volume and timing
- Notes and any photos or other files you choose to attach
The form also sends technical intake fields such as a submission identifier, landing page, referring page, campaign parameters and first-touch time. These fields help us match an inquiry to its source and prevent duplicate handling. The website may store this first-touch information in your browser’s local storage. It is not an advertising profile.
If you email us, we collect what you choose to provide so that a member of our team can follow up.
Why we collect it
We use personal information to:
- Respond to an inquiry and follow up promptly with a local representative
- Understand the material, location and timing of a request
- Assess diversion and composting pathways and coordinate intake, transport or facility services
- Prepare and administer a quote, customer account or other requested documentation
- Attribute inquiries to the page or campaign that generated them and improve the intake process
- Meet legal, regulatory, accounting, security and record-keeping obligations
Consent and communications
Submitting a form or emailing us is a request for us to use the information you provide to respond and handle that request. We do not add people to a marketing list simply because they submit an inquiry. If we later ask for permission to send marketing communications, you may decline or withdraw that permission at any time by contacting info@brendarenewables.ca.
Who may receive it
Access is limited to Brenda Renewables personnel and service providers who need the information for the purposes above. Website form submissions and uploaded files are handled by Netlify. Email, cloud and customer-management providers may process or store information on our behalf. Some service providers may process or store information outside Canada, where it may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction and lawful access by authorities there.
Where needed to carry out a requested job, we may share relevant operational details with vetted carriers, facilities or other service partners. We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We may disclose information when required or permitted by law, court order or an emergency involving safety or security.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiry and customer information only as long as reasonably necessary to respond, quote, coordinate service, administer an account, resolve disputes, maintain business records and meet legal or tax obligations. We then securely delete or destroy it, subject to provider retention periods and any record we are required to keep. You may ask us to delete information sooner, but legal or operational requirements may limit what we can remove.
Access, correction and privacy questions
You may ask what personal information we hold about you, how it has been used or disclosed, and request a correction if it is inaccurate or incomplete. Send a written request to info@brendarenewables.ca with enough detail for us to locate the information. We will respond within the time required by applicable privacy law and may need to verify your identity before releasing information.
Keeping it safe
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards and limit access to people who need the information. No online service is completely secure. If a privacy incident creates a legal notification obligation or a real risk of significant harm, we will take the steps required by applicable law.
Children
This is a business-to-business service. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If our information practices change, we will update this page and the effective date. Material changes will be identified here rather than made silently.
